In 2011 the elective streams will encompass Worship, Evangelism, Multi-Cultural Ministry, Leadership and Practical Skills.

The huge range of elective presenters will include…

• Lucy & Paul Moore                              Multi-Age Worship & Messy Church

Lucy heads up the Messy Church Team in the UK. Previously working in schools and churches with drama and storytelling, now happily getting messy.

Paul is an Anglican vicar in a suburban church on the South Coast with a passion for what his teenage children call ‘obscure music’

Multi-Age Worship – Not just for kids

A blend of the inspirational and the practical, we face up to the ‘But all-age worship ends up as ‘no age worship’ when everyone hates it’ quandary. Together we’ll be very hands-on with tried and tested ideas from real church situations and get our heads around why all-age worship can be the best church can be.

Multi-Age Prayer & Storytelling

Packed full of usable ideas that don’t cost a fortune or take all year to prepare. Opening up ways to pray with all ages present and some lively AND reflective ways of sharing stories from the Bible and from our own lives as we share our faith story with passion and fun.

Messy Church in Action

What is Messy Church and how might you do it in your community? A speedy overview of this way of being church that many churches internationally are finding people actually want to come to. Lots of space for questions answers and challenges.

Leanne Palmer                                    Poverty, Justice, Children and Families

Leanne works in Church Partnerships with World Vision. Prior to this she has worked as a Primary School Teacher and in Children’s Ministry roles with Logosdor, Gymea Baptist Church (NSW) and Scripture Union NSW. Leanne’s heart is for connecting with children in real and life-changing ways.

Child Development and Spirituality

Children’s age and stage of life can impact the way they think, their questions, how they learn, respond, connect with others and engage in our ministry activities. In this workshop we’ll talk children; look at what they do, consider why they do it and use this framework to explore how to engage with children and support families to meet, respond to and journey with Jesus in real and life changing ways.

Poverty, Justice, Children and Families

We want our children to be thankful for all they have and respond to injustice with love and compassion but at the same time we want to protect them from the harsh reality of poverty. Let’s explore together the opportunities we have for helping our kids and families to engage in a world in need.
