Howard Wallace has been Professor of Old Testament since 1994. He teaches introductory units in the Old Testament as well as units on the Book of Psalms, Isaiah, Genesis and the interpretation of the Bible in art. His research interests have been in the use of psalms in worship, the role of prophetic material in contemporary issues and the interpretation of Old Testament texts in Australian art. He has interests in calligraphy, golf, reading and films. He was ordained as a Minister of the Word in the Uniting Church in 1983 and presently is a member of the Congregation of Mark the Evangelist in North Melbourne where among other things he serves on the mission council.
